Police officer seriously hurt in Amona clashes

Young protesters hurled cinder blocks, large stones and buckets of paint at advancing security forces at the Amona outpost in the West Bank Wednesday, seriously injuring a police officer, as large forces of troops moved in to evacuate thousands of demonstrators and demolish nine houses.
Two far-right members of Knesset, Effi Eitam and Aryeh Eldad, were among the first to be injured in the clashes, in which 100 people ozens have been injured, most of them lightly.
Eitam's condition was not immediately known. He was said to have been injured by a horse. Eldad had an apparent arm fracture. The police officer sustained a serious head injury.
